Middle and North Bosque Canoeing

Canoeing the Middle Bosque with its Limestone Cliffs

Canoeing the Middle Bosque with its Limestone Cliffs

Today we went canoeing first on the Middle Bosque River.  We went as far upriver as we could (which wasn’t far) but it has great Limestone Cliffs.  We saw lots of fishermen (and women) and even more people kayaking.  We were the only Canoe.

Returning down river past where we put in we continued for about a half mile to where the Middle and North Bosque Rivers meet.  We paddled up the North Bosque as far as we could go and then returned to our launch site.  We only saw some kids fishing from the bank under the Highway 84 bridge.  No other boats on this river.

We were in the Canoe three and a half hours and took two breaks to get out and walk around.
